Rhode Island Garden Symposium

On Saturday March 2, Native Edible Designs owner Cassidy Need will be speaking on a panel for the Rhode Island Garden Symposium. This year’s Symposium theme is “Connecting in the Garden, Growing Together Again” and runs from 9-3pm  at the URI Center for Biotechnology and Life Sciences, 120 Flagg Road, Kingston, RI.

The panel “Perspectives on Environmentally Friendly Gardening” will cover hot topics in vegetable gardening, soil and mulch selection, climate-related issues, and culturally appropriate crops. Cassidy and two fellow panelist, Rebecca Brown and John Taylor, will present research-based solutions to help gardeners steward their land.

In addition to the panel, the Symposium will feature two keynote speakers, Karen Bussolini and Charlie Nardozzi. Both are prolific garden writers, and they will cover topics of garden sustainability, soil health and more. To attend the Symposium, purchase your tickets below!
